Category: Hear No Evil - See No Evil
Hi everyone. Thanks for looking here. I need all yalls help. I am totally blind, and deaf in the right ear. I'm losing the hearing in my left and will lose it soon. I need to get an auditory brainstem implant before I lose my hearing otherwise it won't be benificial. But medicaid is the only insurance I have and it won't pay for it. I have to raise the money on my own. So I have set up a shop on cafe press. I will get any and all profits from it. So please pass this page around to friends and family try to get me all the support I can get. I need this surgery very badly. the link is http://www.cafepress.com/hollyshearing</>
I havea 1 year old son and I at least have to be able to hear him crying. Iwouldn't be asking for your help if this wasn't serious.
Thanks.
have you tried setting up a group on facebook. i had one when i was rasing money for my aunty with cancer and i got loads of people joining. then i set up a page where people could donate online. i think its called justgiving. if you search online youl find it. its a sponsor page online so people can pay direct to your cause. i dont know how it works for personal causes but worth a look.
after speaking to one of my friends here at school about your situation,I've heard of an organization that helps with people who are in need of cochlear implants, but are having difficulty with getting the money for the operation. I'll get the name for you as soon as i can.
A cochlear implant won't work for me. I need an auditroy brainstem implant. It's made by the same company, and based on it, but there are no orginizations to help with the ABI, they say they only do the CI. I've tried contacting everyone ijncluding the makers themselves.
I don't use face book but I dot have a perwsonal website now. Holly Alonzo.com and I ahve a donate page on there where people can donate to my fund and also I have a store page that goes to cafe press.
Have you tried contacting the Lions Club in your area? Also, try the college for the deaf. I think that it is Galudette University for the Deaf Depending on what state you live in, some of the states have better organization for the deaf/ blind then others. Hope this helps you. I wish I could help you more than just advice.
Good luck!!
